Let me introduce you to this very lovely lady. She was a hot ticket,
a wonderful friend, loyal sister, fantastic grandmother and
an amazing mother to me and my brother.
Her hobbies included: playing canasta, going to the casino,
spending time in Florida, going to flea markets, watching soap operas, doing lots and lots of errands and donating to everyone.
I always joked with her and called her "Henryetta Schmitt",
but her real name was:
Linda Diane Rubin Gordon The First.
At the age of 73 she was affected by early onset Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It was a long process of The Hope Alzheimer's Center in RI provided amazing care to help her through her day. At the center, she loved socializing, listening to music, flower arranging, and making crafts just like this silly hat (left) she made for Kentucky Derby Day.
They have a special place in my heart so, I've decided to donate a portion of my
book sales to those affected by Alzheimer's.
Sadly she passed away in December 2020.
She was loved by so many and we have received so much love and support from family and friends that I've added personal memories throughout my book to continuously spread her spirit, love and smiles to others.
We all miss her like crazy.
